During CES 2015, Sony managed to tell the sales figures for the PS4. The console hasn’t even been available for 14 months and already the company has sold 18.5 million units to date. During the holiday season, the company sold an incredible 4.1 million units.

Just over half the users of the PS4 users use PlayStation Plus, and the company has already sold over 81 million pieces of software since it has launched. During the holiday season, the company sold over 17 million pieces of downloadable content as well. We are sure if it wasn’t for the online outage due to hacks, they would have sold much more.

“We are absolutely delighted that so many customers around the globe have continued to select PS4 as their console of choice throughout this holiday season,”

Andrew House CEO and President of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.

Sony has found much success in the PlayStation as it evolved. With every PS4 sold till this day, the company has managed to rake in a mouth watering $7.4 billion just off of the console alone. Not one time has the console went on sale, showing the sheer value of the device. Sony may be losing money in the smartphone business, but the gaming and entertainment business is something that the company has in spades.

You’ve been waiting on Grand Theft Auto Heist for a very long time now. Some of you been waiting for a year and you are pretty upset. At least they aren’t charging you for Heist like Call of Duty is with Zombies. We don’t have a clear path on what Heist will entail, but we can give you a pretty good idea. IGN sat down with GTA Online producer and lead mission designer Imran Sarwar, and boy has he given some pretty good information.

In the video, it starts out with Lester saying, “You’ve been complaining, but you weren’t ready.” That’s referring to the mass amount of people waiting on the highly anticipated Heist missions. When IGN asked Imran Sarwar why it took so long to release Heist, he stated that it was a lot harder than anticipated.

Our initial idea was to build on the concept of Story Mode heists to make a new gameplay experience for GTA Online that was more focused on cooperation, where everyone could play to their individual strengths and feel like they had a stake in the outcome.

~Imran Sarwar

The goal of Heist is to become a mission of complexity, where the player has the ability to take control of the mission. Similar to the Heist in story mode, it was to bring the touch of the characters to online. Still want to know how Heist work exactly? Imran gives us deeper detail on Heist. IGN asked him exactly how does Heist work and Imran gave some great information. Each heist requires 4 players that are rank 12 or higher. There has to be at least one person with a high end apartment with a room for the planning board. There has to be at least one leader for the mission. The leader has an interesting duty. The leader is responsible to set up the Heist. On the downside, they also have to front the cost for the mission. From there, Lester will give the leader updates on the mission. The crew is able to get cash payouts. However, the leader will not get their cut until the very end of the mission. Switching roles will give the players a totally different experience in the game. If you think Heist were going to be quick think again.

There are five unique strands involving over 20 total missions, which will add up to around 20 hours of gameplay. We hope players will then replay them multiple times to take on the other roles and to try different ways of tackling the missions. We’ve tried to add a lot of variety and there’s a mixture of open-ended gameplay, big set-pieces and a few surprises too.

~Imran Sarwar

Rockstar doesn’t go small with updates to GTA V, the go all-out. Don’t just expect zombies a new mission, expect new vehicles, new weapons, and new gameplay…for free. Remember teamwork is everything, and you will definitely need it for Heist.

Despite the bigger interest that the PS4 had during the holidays, the Xbox ONE took the edge in Black Friday sales as it captured 53% of gaming console sales. However, the PlayStation 4 sales weren’t far behind as it came in 2nd place capturing 31% of game console sales. The Xbox 360 came in 3rd place, capturing 9%. The Nintendo Wii U came in 4th place with 6% of holiday sales while the PS3 came in 5th place with 1% of black Friday sales.

InfoScout asked parents that bought a gaming console on Black Friday if they purchased one for their children. 92% of the Wii U buyers were parents that bought them for their children. 66% of them bought an Xbox ONE and 45% of them bought a PS4 for their children. Studies showed that more teenagers were interested in the Xbox ONE and PS4 rather than the Wii U. When it comes to teenagers, 36 percent want a PS4, 35 percent want an Xbox One and 17 percent want a Wii U. (The slight went to the PS4). In terms of Adults, their preferences were similar. 21 percent of adults want a PS4, 16 percent want an Xbox One and 12 percent want a Wii U.

Even though the interest in buyers were more towards the PS4 this holiday season, obviously the money was talking more. The strikingly low price of the Xbox ONE helped get an edge over the PS4. Even though Sony did not budge on price it still remained a good deal with 2 free games. However, an Xbox with Kinect and a free game for $330 is much better than a console with 2 new games for $399 instead.

Grand Theft Auto V launches on November 18 at 12am for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in shiny high definition, with BOTH versions to run at 1080p and 30fps. A few days ago we reported that it runs at 60 FPS, so we stand corrected. Rockstar has confirmed that the new versions will sport increased draw distances, more wildlife, upgraded weather, and damage effects. That typically happens when you have much better hardware.

GTA Online matches will feature an increased player count to 30 users with an additional two spectators. Rockstar also stated that GTA Online on the new platforms will feature a “completely overhauled” character creator that will offer a “greater range of customization.”

Grand Theft Auto V is a sandbox game of choice, allowing the player to do anything they please within the game. The Next Gen platform will allow the player to customize their character with an extra 120 new props.

The PS4 and Xbox version will have a new FPS Mode similar to Call of Duty.

If you are a previous GTA V buyer, players can rejoice as their Xbox 360 or PS3 account can transfer to the next gen consoles. Meaning if you had an Xbox 360 in the past, you are able to transfer that account to either the PS4 or Xbox ONE. Those who pre-ordered the game also gets a nice treat; $1 million in online and story mode gameplay.

New vehicles, guns, missions, and lots more coming to players who already own the game and are upgrading to a new version.

Those who are upgrading to the PS4 version will get unique features. Players are able to access GTA Online’s interaction menu by holding the DualShock 4’s touch-pad. Phone calls and police radio sounds will emit from the DualShock 4’s speaker Players are also able to swipe the touch-pad up or down to change weapons. Swiping the touch-pad left or right allows you to change the radio station. Also, the DualShock 4 light bar will flash red and blue when you have a Wanted level. If you are wondering just how gameplay will look switching from the PS3 to the PS4, watch the video below.

If you are getting GTA V on the Xbox ONE, you will be able to download the massive 42.44 GB file.

Finally, Rockstar has confirmed that a Day-One update that will introduce some “last tweaks and optimization fixes.” This update will be implemented automatically. Unfortunately for those who have a PC Rig will have to wait to put the real car on the game on January 27, 2015.

GTA V will now be a first person shooter. Rockstar is introducing a first-person mode for Grand Theft Auto V when the game launches on PS4 and Xbox One on November 18th, and PC next January. In the video, it looks pretty stellar. However, it seems like the company went above and beyond to make the cockpit view incredible.

If you are familiar with Rockstar, then you know that they pay a lot of attention to detail. In the cockpit view, you can see the players hands on the steering wheel similar to Midnight Club Los Angeles back in 2008. The gauges also move as well. You can also see everything from the veins popping out to the dirt in the broken nails of player. Even the broken phone from Trevor shows a vast amount of detail.

First person will drastically change the gameplay in GTA V. This will most likely attach people more to the character in story mode. It seems like Rockstar purposely waited until Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was available. That way, they will get an interest in their first person point of view. Very Clever Rockstar….very clever.

We live in an advanced world these days. In a society where 720p displays are outdated and 40″ displays are too small. In an era where 4K TV’s aren’t ready yet, consoles are doing everything they can to make 1080p resolution worth it. That could be the case with Grand Theft Auto V, which will potentially be playing in 1080p at 60 FPS on the PlayStation 4.

The biggest game of last year was none other than Grand Theft Auto V, the halo title from Rockstar which is the best of all sandbox games. And before we even know it, it’s bound to be the biggest title this year, even if it’s not a new game. (Anyone who knows Rockstar from the Midnight Club days know the company re-release their products with extra stuff included).

Official PlayStation Magazine was able to get their hands on the game, and is sure of it that the game will reportedly run 1080p at 60 FPS.

“Glimmering 1080p presentation, hugely increased draw distance, 100 new songs, fresh wild-life, a bumper version of GTA Online, this is sandbox you’ve dreamt about ever since you slotted Sony’s angular baby under your TV.

Farewell 720p. You served your purpose adequately enough. Still, our eyes have been gagging over 1080p’s pin-sharp pleasure and the Los Santos sandbox is only too happy to oblige on PS4, running at a native 1920 x 1080 pixels.”

Currently, Grand Theft Auto V runs at 720p for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game was thought to be a next-gen console game before release until everyone got the shock of their life. It was the perfect reason to keep a current gen console. The game is now suspected to run 1080p on 60 FPS on the PS4. Nothing was mentioned for the Xbox ONE, so there is a possibility that the game could be stuck at 900p like some other games on the console. However, it is important to point out that the Xbox ONE does other stuff while running the console such as tracking you movement and listening to your voice at all times if you have the Kinnect. Grand Theft Auto V will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Nov. 18. A PC version will be released on Jan. 15, 2015. I can’t wait for the PC version, which will definitely have developers testing 4K resolution.

Yesterday was a big update for the PS4, version 2.00. The PlayStation 4 was unveiled with social media in mind, and v2.00 make sure it puts emphasis on just that. Interactive streaming, huge gaming moments, and sharing is now taken to another level.

The PlayStation 4 will create an online local co-op experience by allowing you to invite a friend to join your game, even when they don’t own a copy of it. This will allow you to play other friends that don’t have the game, just as you would if you were at their house. Sony has a lot of experience with this feature as the company used it for some games on the PSP a while back. (I’m assuming games will have to make this feature compatible).

Share Play makes a difficult game 20 times better to play. I actually had a bunch of fun using this feature last night. This feature allows a friend to come in and help you beat a difficult level. The friend can take full control of the screen, but only can in game mode, which makes sense. For example, I was playing Call of Duty Ghost on Share Play and it worked as it should. I tried to go to their home screen in an attempt to buy something on the PlayStation Store, but it was a no go. Great thinking on Sony’s end. While playing on their screen, I did notice a bit of lag when shooting. Considering this being the early stages, it gets to fly for now.

YouTube will also be integrated into the PS4. However, I did notice the App taking me straight to an online site for me to login. Even after that, I received an error message, so they could still be working on things.

Other things I have noticed was the smoother experience. Although lag was sometimes there, I received little of it. I’m not a stickler when it comes to lag on game consoles, especially new ones; but I do become concerned when it has 8 GB of RAM. Voice commands works perfectly as well. I can say, “PlayStation” without pushing buttons now. It even works for Beats Audio headsets. The commands are short and precise. I can’t say PlayStation Turn On, but at least I can use some type of command while using the console.

For many years, people have been addicted to the PlayStation Portable, but with the emergence of smart phones and tablets one doesn’t feel the need to carry a PSP. The PSP was finally replaced by the PlayStation Vita. Many people have great memories of their childhood with the best video games on the PSP of all times. The good news is that now, you can play your all-time favorite PSP video games on android with the help of an emulator.

PPSSPP is no doubt one of the best PPSP emulator for Android. It has been available on Google play since early 2013. PPSSPP helps to run the games of PSP on android in full speed. It also supports booting game backups. Another benefit of this emulator is that it can upscale textures without which the graphics could be fuzzy as they were made for the small screen of the PSP. The previous PSP emulators did not have these qualities. With the help of PPSSPP, you can now bring back your memories by playing classic PSP games like Rainbow Six Vegas, Final Fantasy II, Puzzle Quest, Dragon Ball Evolution, Legend of Heroes, Wipeout Pure, God of War, Castlevania Dracula X, GTA Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories, as well as Little Big Planet.

Following is an easy and quick guide of downloading the PPSSPP on your android OS.

How to download and install PPSSPP?

You can easily download the best emulator for android absolutely free from Google play.  There are two versions available for downloading. The only difference between the simple version and the gold version is that the gold version is used for further development.

After downloading PPSSPP, you would need to download the games that you would like to play. There are no games available with PPSSPP as it is against the law. You can easily download the games in the format of CSO or ISO. You can also get the games files from the PSP using software. Remember, you can download only those games that you already own on your PSP.

How to play using PPSSPP?

First of all you would need to put the game into the root folder of your android tablet with the help of a file manager program or a USB cable. The second step would be to launch the emulator and then choose “load” to start your game. You can keep the default settings as they work perfectly fine. This would help you to play your favourite PSP games on android at full speed. You can also check the compatibility of a game before downloading it to your android device.

Depending on your handset you’ll also want to maximize its battery life as PPSSPP can drain a handset rather quickly. Check out these tips here for extending it.

How to remove the App?

If you need to delete the emulator for any reason, you can easily delete it like any other app is deleted from your android system. You can just remove the game files that you put there in order to remove the games. By following these two simple steps you would easily get rid of the stimulator and the games.

Creativity is the way of the past. These days you can show up with a pile of cash and buy everything. Microsoft confirmed this morning that it’s buying massively popular game Minecraft and the studio behind it, Mojang. They will be buying the company for a whopping $2.5 billion. Your first mind would think that the company will make the game only compatible with Windows Phone and Xbox. However, the company has come forth and stated that the game will still be available on PlayStation, iOS, Android, and PC as well as Xbox (Did you really think they were going to try and lose money on the deal?).

If you’re not familiar with Minecraft, think of this game as virtual Legos. Created by a single man, Notch turned this 8 bit pleasure into a multi-million dollar franchise. Initially rumored to be purchased by Microsoft for $2 billion, that price quickly to $2.5 billion, which the company will spend by 2015. The deal is not yet finalized as it will have to go through regulatory approval and what not.

“Minecraft inspires millions to create together, connects people across the globe, and is a community that is among the most active and passionate in the world,”

Phil Spencer, Microsoft’s Xbox lead
